WALKTHROUGH, PROCESSING B&W PHOTOGRAPHY.

This time I'm going to explain how I'm going to process 2 black and white photographs and the correct way to transform color photographs to black and white.

Well, if you thought that cross-process was just to give colored images a "cool" feeling, well, you are wrong.

This time instead of a tutorial this is going to be some sort of walkthrough, I'm going to start processing and explaining how I do it and the desitions I have to make every single time I decide to process anything, but before doing that I'm going to give you the basics, yes there might be other routes but this is my way, so I'm going to ask you to read my tutorial about cross-processing in photoshop because I'm going to use that method exactly (curves, channel mixer). Also if you decide to follow this thing, you will have to now how to handle layers and channels window.

Warning: this is a really long process, if you haven't read the previous tutorial or don't have an eye for detail or care about the technical side of post processing images and also the patience to deal with a long process please stop reading here. Don't waste your time.

This walkthrough works in Photoshop 6, CS, CS2.

The example will be based in this 2 pictures, RGB color, as always, click on them to open the full sized image:
